Ade Adefeko is Vice President, Corporate and Government Rela ons, Olam Nigeria. He is also in charge of External Communica on and Stakeholder Management at Olam Nigeria, the largest Agribusiness and Food Company in Nigeria, a subsidiary of Olam Interna onal, a Singaporean company with presence in 70 countries. He is also on the Advisory Board of the African Wealth Report (AWR) and SYNERGOS Nigeria's State Partnership for Agriculture (SPA) in a non-execu ve capacity and currently the Chairman of the Nigerian Associa on of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture Export Ac on Group (NACCIMA) NEXAG. He was recently appointed to the Nigerian Presiden al Advisory Council on Industrial Policy and Compe veness. Prior to joining OLAM, Ade played a pivotal role in broadcast policy advocacy as Head Corporate Communica ons and Public Affairs with Mul -Choice (DSTV) Nigeria. Subsequently, he became Area Head of Communica on and Regulatory Affairs, Bri sh American Tobacco for Benin, Niger and Togo based in Nigeria where he managed core regulatory issues in the highly sensi ve Tobacco industry. For over 27 years, Ade Adefeko professional career spans across different sectors, which include Broadcast/Pay TV, FMCG and the banking industry where he held senior management roles in Treasury, Credit and Opera ons. Ade Adefeko, a former football pundit on Super Sport, is a polyglot, an avid writer, with a weekly column in Leadership Newspaper where he shares his thoughts on issues ranging from Agri-Business, Trade and Industry, Arts and Culture as well as Travel and Tourisim and lastly youth and Sports and Entrepreneurship. He is a Policy advocate, Thought leader, Thinker and Strategist and who you can call a modern day Renaissance Man. A Consummate Commercial Diplomat who has travelled to over 40 countries playing advisory roles on Trade and Agri-Business policy for Olam and by extension Nigeria. Ade's philosophy is simple and can be captured in this single phrase 'For my tomorrow, I will always try to give my today'. He equally believes that the country needs more patriots and less cynics.
